For over 25 years, a fight in the heart of B.C.’s Purcell Mountains has been raging over Jumbo Glacier Resort, a proposed European-style ski town its architects hope to build in the high-mountain wilderness west of Invermere. Though some think the developers were recently dealt a death blow by the provincial government, the proponents aren’t giving up. After all this time, why does this battle still rage on?
