Travel Photography | Hanalei Bay Kaui Vacation

Travel photography from Hanalei Bay, Kaui. Our second trip to Hawaii but the first time we had spent time in Hanalei, my new favourite island spot BTW! Surfing, hiking the Na Pali trail and an amazing show of Aloha at the Andy Irons memorial paddle out were standouts. So good to share in the Aloha spirit with friends.

Vancouver Wedding Photography | Heritage Hall Wedding

A rocking wedding at the Heritage Hall in Vancouver. It was my first time photographing a wedding in this Vancouver landmark and it definitely lived up to its reputation for being a great place to throw a party! The decor is a real throw-back and Jes and her wedding guests did an amazing job of capturing the style of era in their dress.

The Adams River Run | A Soundslide for the CBC

Every 4 years the Adams River near Kamloops, B.C. is host to the largest migration of Sockeye Salmon in the world. This October some 7 million fish made the 400 kilometer journey up stream from the Pacific to spawn in the Adams – the largest return in nearly 100 years. Described as a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ event, scientists are baffled by the unprecedented bounty given steadily diminishing returns and historic closures of a once bountiful salmon fishery. Will the epic run of 2010 be remembered as a turning point for a species thought to be on the brink? Or will this go down as Mother Nature’s last last great gasp to re-populate a region’s keystone species?
